Soda Blasting in Rochester

The building pictured here was damaged by a garage fire in August. Our customer was mowing the lawn and then it started to rain so he put his lawn mower in the garage and then the fire started. The fire was contained to the garage, but since the garage is attached to the home, the smoke spread throughout the house.  Our customer called SERVPRO of South East Monroe County to remove all salvageable items for cleaning and deodorization. We were also asked to soda blast the side of our customers house (as seen in the pictures). Soda Blasting is a process in which sodium bicarbonate is applied against a surface using compressed air. Soda blasting can be used for cleaning soot off buildings, among other things. Our customer was thrilled with the results and how fast SERVPRO of South East Monroe County was able to get the job done.
